Haddenham and the Abbeyfield Society Haddenham is situated in a most scenic part of rural Buckinghamshire. It is 9 miles west of Aylesbury, 15 miles east of Oxford and 2 miles from Thame. It is within easy reach of the M40. There is a railway station in the village, as well as local bus services to Thame, Aylesbury and Oxford. There are also excellent local taxi services. A wide range of shops, the village hall, library, health centre, dental practice, pharmacy and post office are all within walking distance of Stonehill House. A volunteer group within the village provides lifts to elderly residents wishing to visit friends, the doctor, dentist etc or attend church services. Haddenham is an extremely active community with numerous activities throughout the year in addition to the programme of events which take place at Stonehill House. There are strong ties with the local churches. Clergy visit regularly and Holy Communion can be taken at Stonehill House. |
